I’m a little preoccupied with soft furnishings at the moment. Living in a house completely devoid of cushions, curtains and rugs has made me realise just how integral they are to making a home feel comfy and cosy. Our neutral colour schemes are crying out for the colour and pattern such items can bestow upon a room.
I have relatively expensive taste and an insatiable longing for sofas and beds piled high with an abundance of cushions. Building a collection of this kind won’t happen overnight, so I’ve developed a dedicated wish list with which to keep track of my pillowy dreams. Here are four colourful cushions that have already secured a place in my heart…
Clockwise from top left :-
Yellow Gran Cushion Cover by Fine Little Day via Southwood Stores ~ Yellow features prominently in our new living/dining room and I love the simple, yet striking, pattern on this screen printed pillow case.
Dream Cloud Cushion by The People Shop ~ Although currently out of stock, I’m keeping everything crossed that I can get my hands on this for Isabel’s bedroom. Isn’t the fabric fabulous?
Spira Fasett Grey Cushion via Hus & Hem ~ This beauty already has pride of place on our vast Ikea sofa {a three-seat Karlstad in Sivik Dark Grey if you’re feeling curious}, alongside a Double Pleat and a Mello too. The quality is excellent and I can’t wait to make further purchases.
Dream Big Little One Cushion Cover by Robin and Mould ~ It’s hard to pick a single design from this Etsy shop, I’d gladly buy them all, but this would look perfect nestling on Jesse’s bed.
Which one takes your fancy? Any treasure troves overflowing with soft furnishings you think I should I know about?

I love the Dream Big, Little One cushion! It’s fabulous, and just right for a child’s bedroom.
