  • Cuddling up to Jesse after he crawled into our bed around 6am.
  • Depositing the children in front of a DVD and going back to bed for a bit.
  • Dragging ourselves downstairs and rushing through our morning routine in order to be decent by the time the carpenters arrived at around 9am. They were fitting our alcove cupboards and shelves in the living room all weekend.
  • Setting off in the sunshine to catch the bus into town.
  • Saying goodbye to Mr. LA who was working away {again}.
  • Exploring a new corner of the city and not getting lost. Go me.
  • Discovering the playground in Castle Park.
  • Watching the children frolic in the sand and clamber all over the equipment.
  • Circling the abandoned church and snapping pictures of the children being silly.
  • Following my nose and heading in the direction of the harbour.
  • Stumbling upon Queen Square and enjoying its peacefulness.
  • Relishing the sight of crocuses at the foot of almost every tree.
  • Walking a little further to the Arnolfini.
  • Settling down to watch their free screening of Pixar’s Up.
  • Crossing Pero’s Bridge and browsing the Harbourside Market on our way to the Watershed for lunch.
  • Sharing a veggie mezze platter, nachos and chips with the children. The food was good and I was glad to have discovered another family friendly lunch spot.
  • Wandering back to the art centre and dropping into their free art session. I watched the children make paper lanterns, huge junk models and an enormous colllage. They loved every minute.
  • Slowly making our way home.
  • Loving the result of all the carpenters’ hard work.
  • Getting comfy on our bed and watching a movie on my laptop with the children.
  • Feeding them their supper and chivvying them into the bath.
  • Reading Jesse a bedtime story and kissing him goodnight.
  • Beginning to prepare Jools Oliver’s Pregnant Pasta and waiting for Emma to arrive.
  • Sipping red wine and snuggling with Izzy on the sofa.
  • Packing her off to bed and chatting to my friend over supper.
  • Staying up too far too late.
  • Waking up far too early.
  • Making my way downstairs with Jesse to watch cartoons {him} and drink tea {me}.
  • Wolfing down breakfast and making myself presentable.
  • Greeting the carpenters and looking forward to seeing the finished result.
  • Pottering while the children played with their Lego.
  • Using up some leftover fruit by baking an Italian Apple Pie.
  • Eating leftovers for lunch.
  • Travelling into town and delivering Izzy to her drama class.
  • Drinking hot chocolate in Stabucks with Jesse.
  • Meandering round the shops.
  • Miraculously managing not to spend any money.
  • Collecting Izzy and hurrying home for supper.
  • Serving the children fried eggs and baked beans.
  • Coaxing them both into bed.
  • Longing for Mr. LA to arrive home.
  • Somehow finding the energy to write this blog post.
  • Looking forward to collapsing on the sofa in front of a movie.
  • Dreading tomorrow’s school run.
