- Waking up to cuddles from Jesse.
- Heading downstairs to drink tea and lounge on the sofa.
- Wolfing down a bowl of porridge for breakfast.
- Hurrying ourselves along and managing to leave the house just after 9am.
- Riding the bus into town.
- Making our way to Bristol Aquarium.
- Wandering slowly from tank to tank, peering at the fish and enjoying the children’s reactions to what they saw.
- Discovering Jesse has a deep fear of lobsters. Who knew?!
- Heading back out into the sunshine.
- Taking a stroll around the harbour.
- Stopping off at The Stable for lunch.
- Sipping delicious elderflower cider.
- Enjoying every bite of the sweet potato PIE I ordered. Probably the best veggie meal I’ve had in Bristol thus far. I highly recommend.
- Making our way across College Green.
- Pausing to wave at Emma and her cat.
- Popping into Fopp for a browse.
- Visiting the Central Library for the first time.
- Marvelling at the sight of Book Hive, a giant living sculpture created to celebrate 400 years of public libraries in the city of Bristol. It was beautiful.
- Browsing the children’s department.
- Promising Izzy we’d come back for books another day.
- Making our way home.
- Napping on the sofa while the children watched cartoons.
- Cooking and eating {more} PIE, roast potatoes, veg and gravy.
- Skipping bath time and putting the children to bed.
- Drinking mojitos and watching House of Cards.
- Finally heading to bed just before midnight.
- Waking up to find Izzy beside me under the covers.
- Telling Jesse to join us.
- Chatting and laughing with the children until we finally decided to get up.
- Making a stack of pancakes for breakfast.
- Pulling on my painting clothes and cracking on with some DIY.
- Having a frustrating day of half-finished tasks and things not going to plan.
- Worrying about what looks like rising damp in the hallway.
- Breaking for lunch.
- Seeing Izzy off to her drama class.
- Finally unpacking boxes we filled back in July of last year.
- Letting Jesse help me organise DVDs into our new cupboards.
- Pottering on the computer. I moved money, did an online shop, prepped some blog posts and finished some outstanding work for tomorrow.
- Preparing pasta risottata for supper.
- Welcoming home a soaking wet Mr. LA and Izzy. They got caught in the rain on their way back from town.
- Sitting down to eat.
- Coaxing the children into the bath.
- Listening to Mr. LA read Jesse a bedtime story.
- Letting Izzy watch cartoons on my Kindle.
- Looking forward to ginger beer and another evening of back-to-back House of Cards.
Love Audrey xxx
