I can’t resist picking up new perfume whenever I pass through duty free. I’m obsessed with attaching memories to fragrance and selecting something new just before we leave the country ensures our destination has its own signature scent by the time we come home.
L’Eau Couture by Elie Saab will always remind of Paris in the spring, but even without such personal evocations, it’s a beautiful perfume. Fresh enough for summer, but with just the right amount of warmth and sensuality, I’m hooked on its unique combination of almond, bergamot, orange blossom and vanilla. It smells expensive and makes me feel polished and pretty, when I’m probably anything but.
What scent will you be wearing this spring? Despite this recent acquisition, I still find myself daydreaming about the latest offering from Dolce & Gabbana. I mean, a girl can never have too much perfume, right?!

I love this scent, in fact I even wore it when I got married! I’m currently spritzing my way through a huge bottle of Vera Wang, I do recommend it, although it’s a much lighter fragrance. It’s the only one my pregnant nose can cope with at the moment!
I’ll have to sniff Vera Wang next time I’m in a beauty hall. I’m always hearing good things.

I love this perfume! I wasn’t sure when I first tried it but now I adore it and am seriously considering buying it – and Dolce is really nice too (but I prefer this one!) I love when scents become associated with great memories, it takes you back there instantly doesn’t it?!

I prefer this one too, but I can’t stop thinking about Dolce either! Not sure I’ll be able to resist for much longer.

I absolutely love wearing Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue in spring and summer. I wore it on my first holiday with my boyfriend, which was amazing, so it makes me smile every time I wear it! 😉
That’s such a lovely memory to have attached to a perfume! I was wearing Davidoff Cool Water the night I {finally} got together with Carl. I wouldn’t wear it now as my taste has changed, but I often steal a sniff in Boots because it makes me smile.

Ooooh I must check that fragrance out, it sounds right up my street.
It’s funny how fragrances take you right back to a time or place, isn’t it?
I wore the Nina Ricci one (the red apple one) each and every day on holiday a few years ago, and my chap always says to this day that when he smells it (I have another perfume of choice now, so don’t where it quite as often) it takes him right back.
I must get another bottle before we head back to that special holiday destination again this summer!

It’s what I love most about wearing perfume 🙂
