- Wriggling over and making room for Jesse when he joined us in bed.
- Drifting in and out of sleep as he dozed beside me.
- Sleepily heading downstairs for a cup of tea.
- Pondering our plans for the day ahead.
- Fixing breakfast in a daze.
- Slipping into the shower.
- Pulling on my favourite leopard-print skirt.
- Spying bright blue skies through my bedroom window.
- Hoping spring really has sprung.
- Coaxing the children into their clothes.
- Hurriedly heading outside to make the most of the good weather.
- Strolling to the park.
- Allowing the children to peel off their winter coats and bask in the sunshine as they played.
- Watching them clamber across the huge climbing frame.
- Waving goodbye to Jesse as Mr. LA lead him away to the barber shop for a quick trim.
- Wandering with Izzy, chatting as we walked and seeking out more signs of spring.
- Finding blossom amidst the trees and crocuses at our feet.
- Walking hand-in-hand all the way home.
- Making sandwiches for lunch.
- Sending the children upstairs to play while we added some more frames to the wall above the sofa in our living room. The black and white photographs were taken by my parents many years ago and developed in a darkroom they had set up in their bathroom at the time. I love them.
- Agonising over paint swatches for our master bedroom. We’re still undecided.
- Sitting in the last of the day’s sun as the children made chalk drawings on the driveway.
- Preparing a delicious fish tagine {pictured partway through the cooking process}.
- Tucking Jesse in for the night.
- Watching the BBC’s adaptation of Pride and Prejudice with Izzy. Like many young women before her, she’s a little bit in love with Colin Firth’s Mr. Darcy.
- Sending her upstairs to bed.
- Settling down to watch the last two episodes of House of Cards Season 3.
- Collapsing into bed.
- Sleeping in.
- Eventually dragging myself downstairs.
- Making waffles for breakfast.
- Wishing the sunshine would hang around a little longer.
- Braving the drizzle and delivering Jesse to a birthday party.
- Feeling sleepy.
- Baking Peanut Butter Bread with Izzy.
- Eating fish finger sandwiches for lunch.
- Removing the cake from the oven and slicing into it while it was still warm.
- Greeting Jesse at the door.
- Watching him bubble with excitement as he unpacked his party bag.
- Letting him eat far too many sweets.
- Looking forward to a peaceful afternoon as Izzy and Mr. LA departed for Clifton.
- Working my way through a long list of chores.
- Stealing crumbs of cake when Jesse wasn’t looking.
- Snuggling on the sofa as I waited for the kitchen floor to dry.
- Peeling potatoes and listening to the radio.
- Placing the food on the table as the others arrived home.
- Wishing Mr. LA wasn’t about to head off on a shoot for 4 days.
- Planning a much-needed early night.

All of a sudden Izzy looks so much more grown up. She is becoming such an elegant little lady (from your photos at least:) )
I love the sound of peanut butter bread. What recipe do you use?
She certainly is Nicole! Sometimes it makes me incredibly happy and other times it’s terrifying. Where’s my baby gone?!
The peanut butter bread is delicous. The recipe isn’t online anywhere {and I can’t even find something similar}, so when I’m done tweaking I’ll blog it here for you.

I think that sound like a perfect weekend personally.
