Joules Clothing The weekend Joules Clothing

  • Waking up as Mr. LA left the house very early for a shoot.
  • Dozing with Jesse in our bed.
  • Nursing a minor hangover. My best friend and her boyfriend arrived for the weekend on Friday evening. There was wine.

  • Making tea and coffee while the children played and chatted with Donna and Brian.
  • Cooking and eating pancakes with crispy bacon and maple syrup.
  • Enjoying the sight of Izzy in her new clothes from Joules*. The floral/polka dot combo is pretty fabulous, don’t you agree?
  • Taking my turn in the shower.
  • Getting dressed and hurriedly applying my makeup.
  • Bundling the children into Brian’s car and making our way into town.
  • Finally finding a parking space.
  • Heading to the German Market.
  • Indulging in bratwurst, chips and lemonade.
  • Meandering from stall-to-stall, admiring the various wares on display and chatting as we walked.
  • Pausing to let the children watch street performers.
  • Smiling as Jesse danced along to the music.
  • Showing our guests the famous Banksy on Frogmore Street.
  • Picking up some extra Christmas lights in Wilkos.
  • Returning to the car and delivering Izzy to her drama showcase. She had two performances back-to-back on Saturday and the same again today.
  • Driving home in the rain.
  • Warming mugs of hot chocolate and getting cosy beneath a duvet on the sofa.
  • Watching Home Alone and beginning to feel festive.
  • Baking Snickerdoodles while the others went to collect Mr. LA from the station.
  • Pouring wine and preparing dinner.
  • Saying goodnight to Jesse.
  • Enjoying a meal of broccoli pasta and a huge chopped salad.
  • Welcoming Izzy home after a tiring day of performing.
  • Feeding her some buttered toast and putting her to bed.
  • Drinking, laughing and chatting until the early hours of the morning.
  • Feeling grateful for such good friends.
  • Sleeping in.
  • Dragging myself out of bed.
  • Drinking copious amounts of tea.
  • Tucking into scrambled eggs and crispy bacon for breakfast.
  • Waking myself up with a shower.
  • Slipping on a pretty dress.
  • Coaxing the children into their clothes and preparing to leave the house.
  • Ferrying Izzy back to the drama studio.
  • Grabbing a quick lunch in Yo Sushi.
  • Settling down with Donna and Jesse to watch Izzy’s performance while the boys snuck off to the pub to watch the football.
  • Feeling proud.
  • Polishing off a mince pie during the interval.
  • Enthusiastcally applauding my little girl.
  • Hugging Izzy and saying goodbye.
  • Making our way back to the house.
  • Wishing our friends didn’t have to leave.
  • Feeling a little exhausted.
  • Powering through a few chores.
  • Cooking tuna pasta bake for supper.
  • Giving Jesse a bath.
  • Reading Mog’s Christmas aloud.
  • Waiting patiently for Izzy to return home.
  • Very much looking forward to hearing all about her day.
  • Planning a long soak in the tub and an early night.
