- Waking up as Mr. LA left the house very early for a shoot.
- Dozing with Jesse in our bed.
- Nursing a minor hangover. My best friend and her boyfriend arrived for the weekend on Friday evening. There was wine.
- Creeping downstairs to see if our guests were awake.
- Making tea and coffee while the children played and chatted with Donna and Brian.
- Cooking and eating pancakes with crispy bacon and maple syrup.
- Enjoying the sight of Izzy in her new clothes from Joules*. The floral/polka dot combo is pretty fabulous, don’t you agree?
- Taking my turn in the shower.
- Getting dressed and hurriedly applying my makeup.
- Bundling the children into Brian’s car and making our way into town.
- Finally finding a parking space.
- Heading to the German Market.
- Indulging in bratwurst, chips and lemonade.
- Meandering from stall-to-stall, admiring the various wares on display and chatting as we walked.
- Pausing to let the children watch street performers.
- Smiling as Jesse danced along to the music.
- Showing our guests the famous Banksy on Frogmore Street.
- Picking up some extra Christmas lights in Wilkos.
- Returning to the car and delivering Izzy to her drama showcase. She had two performances back-to-back on Saturday and the same again today.
- Driving home in the rain.
- Warming mugs of hot chocolate and getting cosy beneath a duvet on the sofa.
- Watching Home Alone and beginning to feel festive.
- Baking Snickerdoodles while the others went to collect Mr. LA from the station.
- Pouring wine and preparing dinner.
- Saying goodnight to Jesse.
- Enjoying a meal of broccoli pasta and a huge chopped salad.
- Welcoming Izzy home after a tiring day of performing.
- Feeding her some buttered toast and putting her to bed.
- Drinking, laughing and chatting until the early hours of the morning.
- Feeling grateful for such good friends.
- Sleeping in.
- Dragging myself out of bed.
- Drinking copious amounts of tea.
- Tucking into scrambled eggs and crispy bacon for breakfast.
- Waking myself up with a shower.
- Slipping on a pretty dress.
- Coaxing the children into their clothes and preparing to leave the house.
- Ferrying Izzy back to the drama studio.
- Grabbing a quick lunch in Yo Sushi.
- Settling down with Donna and Jesse to watch Izzy’s performance while the boys snuck off to the pub to watch the football.
- Feeling proud.
- Polishing off a mince pie during the interval.
- Enthusiastcally applauding my little girl.
- Hugging Izzy and saying goodbye.
- Making our way back to the house.
- Wishing our friends didn’t have to leave.
- Feeling a little exhausted.
- Powering through a few chores.
- Cooking tuna pasta bake for supper.
- Giving Jesse a bath.
- Reading Mog’s Christmas aloud.
- Waiting patiently for Izzy to return home.
- Very much looking forward to hearing all about her day.
- Planning a long soak in the tub and an early night.
