Meet my new favourite frock. She has pockets. Who can resist the lure of a dress with pockets? I certainly can’t.
Dress, NW3 by Hobbs | Long Sleeved T-shirt, H&M | Boots, Schuh | Necklace, Oliver Bonas | Belt, Warehouse
I love a dress for all seasons. When I spied this on the mannequin in the window of my local Hobbs I knew I could wear it layered with long sleeves, thick tights and cosy boots or accessorised with bare legs, pretty sandals and the beginnings of a tan.
The rich red wine colour manages to be both cheerful and classic, while the Aztec inspired print is ‘on trend’, but also eternally pretty. I like the weight of the fabric and the flattering cut too. There’s no denying Hobbs’ prices are a little steep, but, as my Mother would say, you can feel the quality! Besides, I am of the opinion that any frock you feel fabulous in is more than worthy of investment.

You’ve got to treat yourself once in a while. I need a couple of new work dresses (smart ones) and plan to splurge on a couple of really nice ones. They will last longer and hopefully make me feel much smarter and more comfortable.
You look lovely! 🙂
Thank you Victoria 🙂
I totally agree. Work clothes have to be hardwearing too, so definitely worth investing. I hope you find some nice dresses 🙂

You look lovely the colour really suits you! Love the idea of wearing long sleeves underneath a dress, sometimes I feel too much like a granny in a cardi
Thank you Jo 🙂
Honestly, I live in long sleeved tops under dresses in the winter. When you think about it, a dress with a cardi over is is standard summer attire in the UK! I’m all about the layers when it’s really cold. There’s usually a vest or slip underneath it all too!

I LOVE THIS DRESS! It’s amazing, and you look so cute in it! Maybe a sneaky purchase… when I’m feeling a little more flush than I am now!! x
Thank you. Oh you must! Save a few pennies… maybe it will go into the sale even!
