- Waking up as Jesse clambered into bed a little after 4am.
- Drifting in and out of sleep as he tossed and turned beside me.
- Finally giving up and heading downstairs.
- Curling up beneath a blanket on the sofa.
- Nursing a huge mug of tea.
- Peering out the kitchen window and admiring the crisp, cold November weather. It suddenly felt like winter this weekend.
- Fixing breakfast for the kids.
- Waiting {im}patiently for Mr L.A. to return from his week away.
- Watching the children rush to the front door to greet him, squealing with delight as they clamoured for a hug.
- Clamouring for a hug of my own.
- Catching up on all his news.
- Roasting butternut squash and sweet potatoes with cinnamon and nutmeg for a huge pot of my favourite homemade soup.
- Enjoying the scent of Christmas as the fragrant spices drifted throughout the house.
- Diving into the shower.
- Pulling on as many layers as possible.
- Tucking into lunch.
- Taking Mr L.A.’s advice and sneaking off for an afternoon by myself.
- Popping into Homebase for a few Christmas decorations. I’m going for a simple silver and white colour scheme this year, hopefully with lots of silvery green foliage and a generous dash of candle light. I’d love to recreate something like this, but I do wonder where we’d put the food!
- Having a mooch in M&S. I bought wrapping paper, advent calendars, my favourite raspberry iced buns and a bunch of flowers.
- Longing for these heavenly pyjamas and lamenting the absence of a size 8. To be honest, the entire Rosie for Autograph collection is pretty bloody gorgeous.
- Heading home for a mug of tea.
- Pottering in the kitchen while the kids ate pizza toast for their tea.
- Tucking Jesse in for the night.
- Running myself a bubble bath.
- Watching How to Steal a Million with Izzy before sending her up to bed.
- Sitting down for an Indian takeaway with Mr L.A.
- Sipping red wine.
- Feeling sleepy.
- Barely making it through Tarantino’s Death Proof.
- Collapsing into bed.
- Sleeping in.
- Dragging myself downstairs.
- Powering through a seemingly endless list of household chores.
- Loading and unloading laundry over and over again.
- Throwing dinner in the slow cooker.
- Enjoying a fleeting visit from the in-laws.
- Hanging out at home with Jesse while Mr L.A. took Isabel to her drama class.
- Popping out for a bit of fresh air.
- Relishing the sight of a clear blue sky.
- Treating the little man to a packet of Skittles from the corner shop.
- Changing into my PJs.
- Listening to the radio.
- Catching up on a bit of blogging.
- Finishing dinner and laying the table.
- Welcoming the others in from outside. Boy were they chilly!
- Helping Izzy warm up beside the kitchen radiator.
- Sitting down to eat.
- Coaxing the children into their jim jams.
- Helping Jesse practice his spellings before bed.
- Finishing up this blog post.
- Looking forward to a mug of hot chocolate and an early night.
