- Waking up as Jesse clambered into bed beside me.
- Drifting back to sleep.
- Creeping downstairs for a cup of tea.
- Curling up on the sofa while we waited for the others to join us.
- Eating Marmite on toast for breakfast.
- Swallowing antibiotics. I’m recovering from a rather nasty chest infection that’s forced me out of action for almost two weeks.
- Admiring the spring sunshine as it poured in through every window.
- Making a huge pot of soup.
- Working on some photos so I can post the recipe later this week.
- Washing dirty laundry.
- Feeling suddenly exhausted.
- Collapsing on the sofa.
- Watching old episodes of ER while Mr L.A. took the children for a walk.
- Remembering to eat something.
- Opening the front door as the wanderers returned.
- Taking a long, hot shower.
- Watching Kung Fu Panda 2.
- Drinking tea.
- Demolishing a plate of hot cross buns.
- Cooking and eating a Thai green curry.
- Piling on to our bed to read the children Roald Dahls’ The Giraffe and the Pelly and Me.
- Tucking Jesse in for the night.
- Attempting to watch Grease with Izzy. My ancient DVD stopped working just as she was really getting into it. Good excuse to buy it on Blu-Ray I guess.
- Sending her off to bed.
- Sipping gin & tonic on the sofa.
- Watching Crimson Peak. Not my favourite Guillermo del Toro film, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
- Sleeping soundly until Mr L.A. had to leave for work.
- Dozing while Jesse played with his toys next door.
- Finally heading downstairs.
- Drinking tea.
- Watching The Simpsons Movie with the kids.
- Laughing as they sang along with the Spiderpig song.
- Frying eggs for breakfast.
- Coaxing the kids into their clothes.
- Getting properly washed and dressed for the first time in days.
- Heading out into the sunshine.
- Racing to Troopers Hill.
- Watching the children run around, clim trees and have fun.
- Enjoying the sight of Jesse in his colourful coat c/o Lighthouse Clothing. More on this lovely new brand soon.
- Smiling when we stumbled across a secret den tucked away in the woods.
- Listening to the children as they gathered sticks for their imaginary camp fire.
- Holding my breath as Izzy flew through the air on a rope swing.
- Slowly making our way home.
- Warming soup and bagels for our lunch.
- Making beds and sweeping floors.
- Persuading the children to do some chores.
- Resting while they baked Snickerdoodles in the kitchen.
- Enjoying the fruits of their labour.
- Hanging wet washing out to dry.
- Preparing fish fingers and chips for tea.
- Deciding to go without and wait for Mr L.A.
- Sitting quietly while the children played with Lego boats in the bath.
- Giving goodnight kisses.
- Looking forward to a cheeky takeaway.
- Planning my week and writing a to-do list.
- Hoping I’ll have the energy to catch up on all the work I’ve missed.
