- Joining Mr L.A. and Jesse downstairs on the sofa.
- Eating sausages, egg and beans for breakfast.
- Drinking multiple cups of tea.
- Diving into the shower while the children watched a DVD.
- Resting on our bed upstairs. My chronic fatigue symptoms have been awful recently.
- Having a little cry.
- Feeling loads better after a big hug from Mr L.A.
- Mustering enough energy to get dressed.
- Craving new clothes.
- Applying my makeup and styling my hair.
- Loving my MAC Kohl Power Eye Pencil in Feline.
- Sorting laundry.
- Coaxing the kids into their clothes.
- Heading out into the September sunshine.
- Riding the bus to town.
- Popping into 8Bit Planet so the kids could have a browse.
- Grabbing lunch at Pho. I’m obsessed with this place, everything is just so tasty.
- Wandering to the Watershed.
- Making my very own Shaun the Sheep at the Aardman Family Model Making workshop. Part of Encounters, a short film and animation festival, this was such an enjoyable way to spend the afternoon.
- Smiling at Jesse’s very creative take on the model making challenge.
- Packing up and heading to College Green.
- Visiting Swoon for the first time and falling head over heels in love with the place.

- Lounging on the sofa while Mr L.A. and the children laughed their way through Shaolin Soccer.
- Eating a fried egg sandwich for breakfast.
- Cracking on with the usual Sunday chores. Laundry, ironing, vacuuming…
- Feeling nostalgic for the lazy weekends of yore, when all we had to worry about was the Hollyoaks omnibus and heading out for a Sunday roast. Adulting is hard.
- Preparing an apple crumble for later in the day. {In case you’re wondering, this is my go-to basic crumble recipe }.
- Eating tuna-cheese-melts for lunch.
- Watching The Jungle Book. The live action remake is stunning and we all enjoyed it. I’m now looking forward to the release of Beauty and the Beast next year.
- Cooking and eating a huge sunday dinner. Veggie sausages with a mountain of veg on the side.
- Taking a brief pause before pudding.
- Feeling very, very full.
- Bundling Jesse into bed.
- Tapping away at my laptop while Izzy reads quietly on the sofa.
- Hoping for a productive week ahead with fewer health woes and lots of rest.

Izzy is growing up so fast and is absolutely beautiful, not that she wasn’t always of course, just a really lovely photograph xx
Thank you Charlie, she does seem very grown-up all of a sudden. I kind of expected it with her starting high school, but it’s still taken me by surprise. I love this photograph too. xxx
Just discovered your blog which I have enjoyed reading. Hope you feel better soon. I’m off to have lunch as you’ve made me feel hungry with all that talk of delicious comfort food!
Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment. I hope lunch is suitably comforting! xxx
Sorry you are still suffering. I hope you’ll be better soon xxx
I have a question though regarding your weekend posts (always my favourite posts of the week). Do you make notes as you go through the weekend or do you sit down on a Sunday night and just write down everything you remember?
Thanks Heather, I’m so glad you enjoy these posts.
Most of the time I just write from memory on a Sunday evening, but sometimes I’ll note specific things down on my phone, usually a place we visisted or a particular link I want to include.
