• Waking up far too early when Jesse climbed into our bed.
  • Desperately trying to drift off to sleep again.
  • Giving up and heading downstairs.
  • Sipping tea beneath a blanket on the sofa.
  • Watching Hocus Pocus. ‘Tis the season.
  • Smothering my hair in Lush Marilyn. Like I said last week, it’s my new Saturday ritual and my locks are loving it.
  • Eating porridge topped with dried cranberries for breakfast.
  • Coaxing the kids into their clothes.
  • Arranging to meet Mr L.A. and his brother in town.
  • Seeing them off at the door.
  • Grabbing a quick shower.
  • Pulling on skinny jeans and a loose white shirt.
  • Drying my hair and applying makeup.
  • Stepping outside and immediately wishing I’d worn warmer clothes.
  • Catching the bus to town.
  • Meeting the others and making our way to Pho for lunch.
  • Eating too much.
  • Popping into a few shops before retreating back to the house.
  • Making Krispy Kreme Waffles, much to the children’s delight.
  • Eating my stack with a large mug of tea.
  • Curling up on the sofa.
  • Burning my beloved Library candle from Birch and Brook.
  • Deciding I didn’t have the energy to cook.
  • Giving in {easily} when Mr L.A. suggested a takeaway.
  • Saying goodnight to Jesse.
  • Watching Gilmore Girls with Izzy.
  • Eating Indian food.
  • Drinking a G&T.
  • Watching The Conjuring 2.
  • Jumping. And screaming. A lot.
  • Collapsing into bed.
  • Craving a lie in.
  • Waking up while it was still dark.
  • Snuggling on the sofa in front of Madagascar 3.
  • Tucking into scrambled eggs on hot buttered toast.
  • Luxuriating in the shower.
  • Talking about our five year plan and daydreaming about the kind of house we want to buy.
  • Pulling on jeans, boots and a jumper.
  • Walking to Troopers Hill to explore the new children’s playground.
  • Watching the kids race along the obstacle course.
  • Stomping through fallen leaves.
  • Feeling incredibly grateful to be outside in the fresh air.
  • Looking out across the city while the children climbed a tree.
  • Wandering home to make lunch.
  • Cooking and eating a lazy fake chicken pie. I use Quorn pieces and follow this Jamie Oliver recipe.
  • Dozing on the sofa while the children played a board game with the boys.
  • Stripping beds and sorting laundry.
  • Excitedly unwrapping new pillows {c/o Christy}. I’ll be sharing more about them and the other tweaks we’ve made in our bedroom in a blog post very soon.
  • Pottering in the kitchen.
  • Pausing for another cup of tea.
  • Wishing I was off to see John Carpenter Live with Mr L.A. and his brother. Curse not being able to find a babysitter in time!
  • Making a huge pot of creamy pasta with leeks.
  • Eating too much.
  • Sending the children upstairs to slip into their PJs.
  • Preparing for a cosy movie night at home complete with cinema snacks.
