• Snuggling in bed with Jesse.
  • Creeping downstairs for a cup of tea.
  • Dozing on the sofa while Jesse watched Inside Out beside me.
  • Greeting Izzy when she emerged from her bedroom.
  • Persuading the children to get dressed.
  • Welcoming Mr L.A. home after a night away.
  • Eating breakfast and catching up on each other’s news
  • Attempting to ignore Jesse while he threw a huge tantrum upstairs.
  • Double checking I had everything I needed for a wedding fair the following day.
  • Settling down on the sofa to rest while the others headed off into town.
  • Watching back-to-back movies all day. My body really needed rest, so I did exactly that.
  • Sipping tea and nibbling leftover Christmas chocolate.
  • Resisting the urge to do housework.
  • Greeting Mr L.A. and the children when they arrived home.
  • Running myself a bubble bath.
  • Soaking in the tub while Mr L.A. made burgers for dinner.
  • Collapsing on the sofa.
  • Saying goodnight to Jesse.
  • Cuddling Izzy before she disappeared up to bed.
  • Watching The Girl With All The Gifts.
  • Climbing into bed.
  • Reading I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings until I couldn’t keep my eyes open.
  • Waking up a little after 6am.
  • Jumping in the shower, getting dressed and doing my makeup.
  • Grabbing tea and toast for breakfast.
  • Coaxing the children into their clothes, gathering all our things and jumping in a taxi to Clifton Pavilion at Bristol Zoo.
  • Cursing the rain.
  • Setting up my stand for Bristol Vintage Wedding Fair. The Little Wedding Helper lent me her beautiful bureau, Daisy Lane Floral provided the flowers and Becky Lord created all my beautiful signage.
  • Feeling pretty proud of The Wedding Reporter.
  • Waving Mr L.A. and the children off as they ventured inside the zoo.
  • Chatting to couples, explaining what I do and handing out countless flyers.
  • Admiring the other stands and soaking up all the creativity in the room.
  • Enjoying a small glass of prosecco at the end of the fair.
  • Listening to Jesse chatter excitedly about the animals he’d seen.
  • Watching him play with a set of stretchy toy lizards from the gift shop.
  • Packing up.
  • Braving the rain as we made a mad dash for the taxi.
  • Slowly making our way home.
  • Pulling on my PJs and waiting for a takeaway to arrive.
  • Eating Indian food and doing my best to stay awake.
  • Tapping away at my laptop.
  • Looking forward to an early night.
