• Waking up when Jesse came stumbling into our bedroom.
  • Feeling sleepy.
  • Dragging myself downstairs for a cup of tea.
  • Missing Izzy. She spent Friday night and most of Saturday with friends.
  • Jumping in the shower and getting ready to face the day.
  • Heading into town for brunch. We had hoped to visit Tincan Coffee Co, but when we arrived the told us they wouldn’t be serving food until 10am.
  • Walking aimlessly for a while.
  • Ending up in another cafe opposite the BRI.
  • Enduring the worst breakfast we’ve ever eaten.
  • Feeling cheated. I’d been looking forward to Saturday brunch all week.
  • Wondering if the universe was trying to punish me when my Instagram feed grew busy with pictures of other people’s delicious breakfast food.
  • Popping to the shops.
  • Picking up a tub of cleansing balm and a tube of face wash.
  • Discovering my beloved Clarins foundation has been discontinued. I visited three different counters and none of them had my shade.
  • Grabbing a bottle of my favourite exfoliator.
  • Buying books for a new baby.
  • Hopping on the bus back to St George.
  • Resting on the sofa while the boys played a board game.
  • Eating cheese on toast for lunch.
  • Disappearing upstairs for a nap.
  • Waiting for Izzy to get home.
  • Suddenly remembering we could watch Moana again. New favourite Disney film right there.
  • Making Whole Roasted Cauliflower Mussalem, another gem from Meera Sodha’s Fresh India*.
  • Sending Jesse to bed.
  • Whipping up a quick dessert for a blog post.
  • Running myself a bath.
  • Listening to Edd Kimber’s podcast while I soaked in the tub.
  • Curling up on the sofa.
  • Watching Taboo. We’re three episodes in and enjoying it so far.
  • Collapsing into bed.
  • Trying to persuade Jesse to go back to bed when he woke us both up just after 6am.
  • Giving up and going downstairs.
  • Putting a load of laundry on.
  • Watching Annie on Netflix.
  • Eating a breakfast of fried egg and roasted field mushroom in a brioche bun.
  • Working on some blog photos.
  • Forcing myself to rest.
  • Sitting down to lunch.
  • Waving off Izzy and Mr L.A. when the set off for her drama class in Clifton.
  • Hanging up wet washing.
  • Tidying the dining room.
  • Tapping away at my laptop while Jesse watched YouTube videos about Pokemon cards.
  • Retreating upstairs for a long, hot bath.
  • Stumbling across this beautiful list.
  • Buying mother’s day gifts.
  • Pottering in the kitchen. I did a bit of batch cooking, using up a few bits and bobs from our latest veg box.
  • Preparing chickpea curry for dinner.
  • Making a small bowl of kachumbar {similar recipe here}.
  • Delivering everything to the table once Mr L.A. and Izzy had made it home.
  • Eating too much.
  • Giving goodnight kisses.
  • Writing this blog post.
  • Looking forward to visiting my best friend and her new baby later this week.
  • Longing for an early night.
