- Sleeping late.
- Lying in bed and listening to the rain outside.
- Discovering Carl and Jesse downstairs on the Xbox.
- Sipping tea on the sofa while Carl cooked breakfast.
- Tucking into veggie sausages, hash browns and baked beans.
- Working my way through a mountain of laundry.
- Watching Carl drill holes in the laundry room to hang various hooks and organisers.
- Admiring my new Brabantia Iron Store and getting very excited about my new pegboard.
- Eating a fish finger salad wrap for lunch.
- Grabbing a quick shower.
- Listening to Lizzo while I pulled on clean clothes.
- Playing Just One* with friends via Zoom.
- Missing our regular in-person board game nights.
- Sipping a G&T while I made dinner.
- Eating honey, soy and ginger braised tofu. You can find the recipe in East* by Meera Sodha.
- Catching up with my parents.
- Taking Jesse upstairs to bed.
- Watching another episode of The Imagineering Story with Izzy. It’s a documentary about the history and creation of the various Walt Disney parks around the world. We love daydreaming about taking a trip to one of them once we’re all able to travel again.
- Laughing through an episode of Schitt’s Creek before heading upstairs to bed.
- Feeling awful after a terrible night’s sleep.
- Drinking lots of tea.
- Deciding to stay in my PJs all day.
- Organising our tools and paintbrushes on to the new pegboard.
- Eating a toasted bagel for breakfast.
- Hanging wet washing outside in the sun.
- Making beds and putting clean laundry away.
- Feeling a little out of sorts.
- Working through more of my DIY to-do list in the laundry room.
- Wolfing down a big bowl of pasta.
- Popping up a handy ‘broom grip* to hold my mop.
- Helping Izzy make chocolate brownies.
- Watching Carl surprise the kids with a Nintendo Switch and Ringfit Adventure. I wasn’t really onboard with the idea of getting another console but having watched them play with it all afternoon I can see it’s going to be very useful for indoor exercise during lockdown.
- Pulling out my laptop to work on this post.
- Looking forward to cooking and eating veggie sausage hotpot for dinner {adapted from this Hairy Biker’s recipe}.
- Needing an early night.
